The Castelli Appeel Ortisei notebook is a new take on the original Appeel notebook. Where that one has a smooth cover and natural finishes (elastic strap and pen loop), the Ortisei has some striking colours with a grained leather-like finish, and matching elastic and loop.

Are you looking to move away from a traditional notebook such as the Tucson, Matra or even Moleskine or Leuchtturm to a greener option, but still want the same style of book? The Appeel fills this gap very nicely - it has a hardback cover, quality paper, inside pocket, pen loop and elastic strap. However the Crush paper is partly made from a mix of apple and other recycled waste. The cover material is called Frumat and partly contains apple waste.
