The sale of each bottle makes a direct impact by funding the clear-up of over 11kg of plastic, which is roughly 1,000 plastic bottles. Yes, one Ocean Bottle purchased funds the removal of around 1,000 plastic bottles from rivers and seas.

Plastic bottles are removed from rivers, waterways and local communities in Brazil, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia and the Philippines, with 372 communities benefiting from a formalised waste management infrastructure. Collectors can then exchange the collected plastic for money or social resources such as healthcare and education.

Ocean Bottle were established with the sole aim of removing waste plastic, and the bottles are how they achieve this aim. Reusable water bottles are commonplace today but there is still far too much plastic produced and thrown away.
